Wedding at Creekside at Collier's End
Aarika And Zach
Mooresville, Alabama
Aarika and Zach’s summer afternoon wedding at Creekside at Collier’s End in historic Mooresville, Alabama was absolutely stunning. The couple’s wedding photography started with the bride and her attendants prepping for the day in the spa-like bridal room and the groom and friends in the rustic groom’s house, all located on site. They wanted a traditional wedding, so they opted not to see each other until after the wedding, which works great in the summer due to the long, hot days. Instead of seeing each other, the couple shared letters, which they read before the ceremony. We took a little time before the ceremony to do individual photos with each of them with their attendants.
It was a beautiful, outdoor ceremony set in front of the Manor house accompanied with harpist Steven Todd Miller. The ceremony was held on the large front porch with the summer sun setting behind the guests. It was that warm sunny afternoon that gave us the perfect light for photos with the wedding party and bride and groom portraits in the Victorian gardens amongst the Crepe Myrtles.
The reception was held under the open air pavilion and beautifully decorated in white and navy. Ice cold Sun Drop cooled the summer night as the guests watched the couple sharing their first dance. The celebration continued with the couple through the night with dancing and good times, and a final farewell before seeing them off with glow sticks!
