Last year we were invited by Pat Young of Modern Brides to be a part of the $25,000 Ultimate Wedding Give-A-Way. Her idea was to put together a team of the area’s best wedding professionals to design and produce a dream wedding for one lucky winning couple. We were excited to be a part of the contest and to create something fantastic for the winning couple. For our part we would be donating a Signature Bridal session and one of our custom framed wall portraits. Our lucky winning couple, Kayla and Cody, celebrate their wedding on September 17th, 2016!

 Bridal sessions are one of our favorite types of photography sessions, as they allow us to be creative and work outside of the confining nature of the wedding day. We want the freedom to style and create a session that highlights our clients beauty and her gown. We love being able to create a fashion shoot in our studio or to take the bride on location to a venue that may not be available to her during her wedding day. Many times we shoot bridals after the wedding day that include the groom. These sessions can be for couples that eloped, wanted a different season or venue for their photos, or just love getting to dress-up and play.

 For this Signature Bridal Session, we went with a simple approach in our downtown studio, for some soft window light. Also, we wanted to create something reminiscent of the vintage Hollywood glamour style for some of the images. One look from Kayla’s eyes and we knew this was going to be an amazing photo session. We ended the shoot with an outdoor stop in our backyard, at Church of Nativity.

 Ashley Carmack, of Ashley the Fabulous did an outstanding job with Kayla’s hair and Leslie Ware couldn't have done a better job with Kayla’s makeup! Modern Brides supplied Kayla with her gown and veil, while 333 Designs crafted the bouquet.

 

We have been so honored to have been a part of the Ultimate Wedding Give-A-Way! Not only did we have the pleasure of working with some top professional wedding vendors, but we also had the chance to meet and photograph one amazing woman!
